Dating as far back as 1257 and up to the present day, sung from generation to generation, these songs are some of the most tender, exciting, entertaining and yet tragic of all Catalan music, and we shall discover, in each song, a true piece of Catalan history!

(There will be an explanation of each of the texts for those who are not familiar with the language).

These songs represent the very soul of Catalunya; they were sung by exiled Catalans, many of whom would never see their homeland again, but through them were able to pass down to their sons and grandsons the emotion and the love they felt for their land.
